Doha, Qatar: Renowned filmmaker Fazil, the iconic director of the Malayalam classic Manichitrathazhu, has extended remarkable praise to M.E.S Indian School, Doha, after watching a specially choreographed short dance presentation inspired by his celebrated film. The performance was showcased as part of the school’s 51st Annual Day celebrations, earning admiration from audiences-and now, from the filmmaker himself.

Director Fazil, deeply moved by the students’ artistic brilliance, described the presentation as an extraordinary blend of creativity, technical excellence, and emotional depth. “Whoever conceived this brilliant idea deserves a big salute. It has been imagined beautifully, executed beautifully. The audio, video, editing, direction-everything is superb. And the dancers have performed marvelously. Congratulations to the entire team,” Fazil said, expressing his heartfelt appreciation.

The Manichitrathazhu–themed performance impressed viewers with its expressive choreography, precise execution, and visually engaging presentation. The concept of recreating the iconic film sequence was initiated by Principal Dr Hameeda Kadar, bringing a fresh and imaginative artistic dimension to the celebration. The choreography was masterfully crafted by Malayalam teacher Kavitha Rajan, whose creative direction enabled students to deliver a performance filled with grace, intensity, and cultural richness.

Fazil’s acknowledgement has been received as a proud and inspiring moment for the entire MES community. Students, teachers, and parents celebrated the director’s praise as a recognition of the school’s commitment to encouraging creativity and cultural excellence.
