Qatar Malayali Moms 'Color Carnival' Showcases Young Artistic Talents in Vibrant Celebration

Doha: In a vivid celebration of creativity and imagination, Qatar Malayali Moms (QMM)—the largest community of Malayali women in Qatar—successfully hosted the “Color Carnival” painting competition for children. The event, held at Vibrant Global Consultancy Hall in Barwa Commercial Avenue, brought together young budding artists from various schools, highlighting the group’s mission to encourage artistic expression among children in the community.


The inaugural ceremony was warmly opened by QMM Admin Mrs. Shejina Noushad, who welcomed participants and families to the colorful gathering. The event was officially inaugurated by Mr. Abdul Rauf Kondotty, Lok Kerala Sabha member, who praised QMM for creating a platform that nurtures creativity in the younger generation. He emphasized the importance of such cultural activities in developing children's self-confidence and artistic skills.

Several prominent personalities graced the occasion and offered words of encouragement to the children. These included Mrs. Divya Premjit (QMM Admin), Mr. Gafoor Calicut (General Manager, Lazaa Events), Mr. Junaid Fayiz (renowned photographer and artist), Mrs. Vinci John (Principal, Lovedale International Kindergarten), and Mrs. Molcy Mathew (Teacher, Rajagiri Public School), all of whom congratulated the young participants for their enthusiasm and talent.

Winners were announced across three competition categories. In the coloring category, Pranav Nidhin (Podar Pearl School, Meshaf) secured first place, followed by Laiba Muhammed (Santiniketan Indian School) in second, Vaiga Sarath (Loyola International School, Al Nasr) in third, and Advaita Praveen (Loyola International School, Al Wukair) receiving a consolation prize. The pencil drawing category saw Able Chris Chittilappilly (Santiniketan Indian School) win first, Tanushri Raghavendra (Olive International School) second, and Stefano Antony Shibu (Santiniketan Indian School) third.

In the drawing and coloring category, Vedika Sasikumar (Noble International School), Svetlana Mary Shibu (Santiniketan Indian School), and Aimee Sanil (Birla Public School) claimed the top three positions.

The event was seamlessly coordinated and led by QMM executive members Simi Shameer, Binsy Biju, Rajani Das, Prashly Shiju, Aisha Safrina, Naseeba Fahad, and Shabila Abubacker. Their efforts ensured a fun, well-organized competition that celebrated not just artistic talent but also community engagement and the joy of childhood expression.
