Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced on Wednesday a strategic partnership with MediaPower to advance the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system. This agreement marks the culmination of a year-long technical and operational collaboration, aiming to elevate refereeing standards to the latest international benchmarks.

The signing ceremony was graced by Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, Pierluigi Collina, alongside several QFA directors and media representatives. Hani Taleb Ballan, a member of the QFA Executive Committee, highlighted that this partnership signifies a significant leap forward for the VAR system, promising a sustainable legacy that benefits both Qatar and the global football community. 

The initiative is poised to become a hub for regional and continental development, with expectations of yielding tangible results soon. Ballan expressed gratitude to the dedicated teams from QFA and MediaPower, whose efforts over the past year have been instrumental in realizing this ambitious project.
