Al Jazeera journalist Hossam Shabat was killed in an Israeli attack on Monday, marking yet another tragic loss of media personnel in the ongoing conflict. According to witnesses, Shabat’s car was targeted in the eastern part of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza while he was reporting on the situation in the region.

In a separate attack, Mohammad Mansour, a journalist working for Palestine Today, was also killed in an Israeli airstrike. The deaths of both journalists highlight the increasing dangers faced by media professionals covering the war in Gaza. Al Jazeera has strongly condemned the targeting of journalists and called for accountability for the killing of its correspondent.

The latest attacks come amid intensified Israeli bombardments across Gaza, leading to a rising death toll among civilians and media workers. Press organizations and human rights groups have urged international intervention to protect journalists operating in conflict zones and ensure their safety as they report on the ground realities.
