South Korea wildfires death toll rises to 31

As per the authorities statement on Wednesday, the death toll from South Korea's most devastating wildfires has increased to 31. The Interior Ministry reported that a person who suffered severe injuries in North Gyeongsang Province succumbed to their injuries, raising the fatality count. 


The wildfires, which affected the southeastern regions until last week, also left eight individuals seriously injured and 36 with minor injuries. The fires damaged 4,015 homes, 1,914 agricultural and livestock facilities, seven temples, and 986 other structures. Approximately 48,000 hectares of forest across 11 regions were burned, displacing 3,307 residents.
