Doha: The UNITY Qatar Community Iftar 2025, held at MES K.G. Hall, brought together leaders from various organizations, business sectors, and cultural circles in an inspiring display of unity and reconciliation. Organized by UNITY Qatar, this annual event has been a beacon of communal harmony for the past decade, reinforcing the values of togetherness, compassion, and social cohesion, especially in today’s increasingly divided world.
In
his inaugural address, E.T.
Muhammad Basheer MP praised UNITY Qatar for setting a global
example of cooperation and solidarity. He emphasized that the root cause of
many global conflicts is a lack of unity and that events like these play a
crucial role in fostering mutual understanding. Discussions at the gathering
also addressed pressing societal concerns, including the rise in drug abuse and the moral challenges faced by youth,
with leaders engaging in meaningful dialogue to explore solutions.
The event was presided over by UNITY Vice Chairman MP Shafihaji, while Unity Chief Coordinator A.P. Khaleel
welcomed the attendees. The gathering commenced with a soulful recitation by Faisal Hudawi, followed by a keynote
address by Hakeem Hudawi. The program, skillfully
moderated by Unity Coordinator Mashood VC,
featured prominent dignitaries such as Arshad,
Niyaz Hudawi, Abdus Salam Haji Pappinissery, Ilyas Mattanur, Rafeeq Kothur,
Zakaria Maniyur, Dr. Abdul Samad, Abdul Muttalib Mattanur, Shamir Valiya
Veettil, P.K. Shamir, and KT Faisal Salafi, among others.
As the gathering concluded, participants reflected on the profound impact of this annual event, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. Many praised the initiative for strengthening community bonds and fostering a spirit of unity.
