KUWAQ launches ICBF Insurance Policy for low-income workers

Doha: Kannur United Welfare Association Qatar (KUWAQ) has launched the first phase of the ICBF insurance policy to support low-income expatriates as part of its social welfare initiative, KARE (KUWAQ Assistance for Relief and Empowerment). The initiative aims to provide financial security and healthcare support to underprivileged members of the community, ensuring they have access to essential protection. The launch event was held at Kanjani Hall, where ICBF President Shanavas Bawa officially received the application forms from KUWAQ office bearers.


The event was attended by KUWAQ President Muhammad Naushad Abu, General Secretary Rijin Palliath, Treasurer Anandajan, and Welfare Secretary Amit Ramakrishnan, along with members of the ICBF Management Committee and KUWAQ Executive Members. The gathering highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the needs of the economically weaker sections of the expatriate community. The speakers emphasized the significance of providing insurance coverage as a means of offering relief and stability to those facing financial hardships.


KUWAQ officials reiterated their commitment to expanding such welfare programs in partnership with ICBF to further strengthen community support initiatives. They expressed their vision of continuing efforts to enhance the well-being of low-income workers by providing them with necessary aid and empowerment opportunities. The launch of the ICBF insurance policy under the KARE initiative marks a significant step in KUWAQ’s ongoing mission to uplift and protect vulnerable expatriates in Qatar.
