Doha:
The Qatar Indian Football Forum (QIFF) will pay tribute to K. Mohamed Easa,
fondly known as Easakka, a stalwart of Qatar’s football community, with a
memorial event at Doha Stadium on Saturday, February 15, at 8 PM. A visionary
leader who played a crucial role in promoting football among the Indian
diaspora, Easakka’s contributions to the sport have left an enduring impact.
Serving
as the long-time president and the current chief coordinator of QIFF, Easakka
was instrumental in organizing All-India football tournaments and fostering a
spirit of sportsmanship among expatriates. His sudden passing has created a
deep void in the football fraternity, with players, fans, and organizers
mourning the loss of a dedicated mentor and leader.
QIFF
has extended an open invitation to sports enthusiasts, former players, and
well-wishers to gather at the stadium where Easakka’s passion for football
thrived. The memorial will be an opportunity for friends and colleagues to
share their memories and honor his legacy of dedication, perseverance, and
goodwill in the sporting community.
