K. Mohamed Easa Memorial Super League announced by QIFF in Doha

Doha: The Qatar Indian Football Forum (QIFF) has announced the launch of the K. Mohamed Easa Memorial Super League in honor of the late K. Mohamed Easa, a respected civic leader and long-time QIFF supporter. The announcement was made by former Kerala Blasters coach Ivan Vukomanović during a memorial program organized by QIFF.The event, held at Doha Stadium, a place close to Easa’s heart, was attended by QIFF President Sharaf P. Hameed, along with notable figures from Qatar’s sports and cultural community.


The memorial gathering featured heartfelt tributes from dignitaries, including Dr. Puthur Rahman from the UAE, as well as Easa’s family members, who shared emotional memories of his contributions to the football community. Easa’s son-in-law Asad Abdur Rahman and his children Naufal Easa, Nadir Easa, and Namir Easa also expressed their gratitude for the recognition of his legacy. A special video presentation showcased Easa’s journey with QIFF, along with condolence messages from well-wishers, including Indian politician and writer Dr. Shashi Tharoor.


With the K. Mohamed Easa Memorial Super League, QIFF aims to keep Easa’s passion for football alive by fostering competitive spirit and unity within the Indian football community in Qatar.
