Doha, Qatar: Visit Qatar, the Professional Triathletes Organization, World Triathlon, and the Qatar Cycling and Triathlon Federation have confirmed that Qatar will host the Triathlon World Championship Finals, known as the Qatar T100, from 2025 to 2029. This decision stems from a five-year partnership agreement aimed at promoting the sport within the region.
The inaugural Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final is scheduled for December 11-13, 2025. Athletes will compete in the breathtaking waters of the Arabian Gulf for the swimming segment, while the biking and running portions will weave through the vibrant cities of Doha and Lusail, showcasing iconic landmarks including the Lusail Stadium.
In addition to the elite competition, the multisport festival weekend will feature various events for amateur athletes, providing an exciting opportunity to participate in the newly introduced 100km triathlon distance. This includes a 2km swim, 80km bike ride, and an 18km run, allowing amateurs to race alongside the world's top professional triathletes. The event promises to be a highlight on the global triathlon calendar and a unique experience for both competitors and spectators alike.
