Qatari referees conclude FIFA Course ahead of 2026 World Cup and 2025 Club World Cup

Doha, Qatar: Abdulrahman Al Jassim and Salman Falahi, two International referees from Qatar have successfully completed their participation in a prestigious FIFA referees course held in Dubai, UAE. 


The intensive five-day program was designed to prepare officials for the upcoming 2026 World Cup and the 2025 Club World Cup, bringing together 32 referees from Asia, Africa, and Oceania.


The course encompassed a comprehensive curriculum that included lectures on game laws, match management, and arbitration cases. Participants also engaged in technical and physical training sessions, with practical applications that involved managing two daily matches at the UAE Football Association grounds to simulate real-game scenarios.


Attendees had the privilege of learning from distinguished figures in football officiating, such as Hani Tale Ballan, Vice Chairman of FIFA's Referees Committee, Italian Pierluigi Collina, Chairman of FIFA's Referees Committee, and Swiss Massimo Busacca, Director of FIFA's Refereeing Department. Elite experts delivered valuable insights on various aspects, including technical, medical, fitness, and technological support, further enhancing the referees' preparation for their crucial roles in upcoming international competitions.
