Doha, Qatar: DPS-Modern Indian School and DPS-Monarch International School joined forces to celebrate India’s 80th Independence Day with great patriotism and pride at the DPS-Modern Indian School.
The event was a significant tribute to India’s freedom and heritage, bringing together students, teachers, parents, and distinguished guests.
The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the singing of the Indian National Anthem. Esteemed guests, including Mr. Yasir Nainar, Chairman of DPS Group; Mr. George Thomas, President of DPS Modern Indian School; Mr. Rocky Fernandes, President of Monarch International School; Mr. Sonny Varghese, Vice President of DPS Modern Indian School; Mr. Sreedharan K., Vice President of Monarch International School; Ms. Asna Nafees, Group Academic Advisor for DPS Group of Institutions; and Special Guest Mr. Anuj Mittal, Asset Manager at Barwa Real Estate, Qatar, graced the occasion with their presence, adding prestige and inspiration.
Students from both schools delivered stirring speeches, recited poems, and performed patriotic choir pieces and vibrant cultural dances, highlighting themes of freedom, unity, and national pride. The audience warmly appreciated these performances, which showcased the students' talent and dedication.
This celebration was a heartfelt reminder of the enduring bond with one’s motherland, making the occasion a memorable tribute to India’s enduring spirit.
