Doha, Qatar: Olive International School celebrated India's 80th Independence Day with vibrant celebrations and a strong sense of unity. The event highlighted the school's dedication to fostering national pride and instilling values of unity, integrity, responsibility, and service among students and staff.
The festivities began with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag at the Al Thumama Campus by Chairman Mr. Davis Edukulathur. In his address, Mr. Edukulathur reiterated the school's mission to nurture responsible learners and its vision of shaping compassionate, forward-thinking global citizens through unity and progressive education. Staff members from the Abu Hamour and Nuaija campuses joined at Al Thumama, showcasing solidarity and shared purpose.
Simultaneously, the Umm Salal Ali Campus held its own flag-hoisting ceremony with staff from Kharaitiyat Campus in attendance. Principal Mr. Jacob Mathew raised the National Flag and spoke on the theme “Yuva Shakti for Viksit Bharat @2047,” marking 150 years of Vande Mataram.
He emphasized the crucial role of India's youth in advancing progress through science, innovation, entrepreneurship, and leadership, with a vision for India to become a fully developed nation by its centennial independence in 2047.
The event featured a cultural program with patriotic songs, dances, and performances by students and staff, celebrating India's rich heritage, unity in diversity, and the inspiring freedom struggle.
The celebrations concluded with a renewed commitment to the values that define both India’s legacy and Olive International School’s vision-unity, education, integrity, and progress for all.
