M.E.S. Indian School celebrates India’s 80th Independence Day with pride and patriotic spirit

Doha, Qatar: M.E.S. Indian School marked the 80th Independence Day of India with vibrant celebrations filled with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm.



The event was attended by esteemed guests including Chief Guest Mr. Hazmal Ismail, President (Officiating), alongside Dr. Najeeb K.P., General Secretary, and other members of the M.E.S. Governing Board. 



The festivities began with the hoisting of the Indian National Flag by Mr. Ismail, followed by the National Anthem performed by the school choir.



A warm welcome was extended by Head Boy, Master Ishan Bin Thasneef, setting the stage for a series of patriotic performances. Students enlivened the gathering with a patriotic song and an energetic dance choreographed by Mr. Jency George, adding a vibrant touch to the celebration.



The Principal (Officiating) emphasized the importance of Independence Day in his address, reminding attendees of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters and the responsibility of the younger generation to uphold the values of freedom and unity. A ceremonial cake-cutting, led by Dr. Najeeb K.P. and the School Management, added a festive note to the occasion.



Head Prefects Afthab Basheer and Amina Shahal skillfully guided the proceedings, which concluded with a Vote of Thanks from Head Girl, Miss Evelyn Johnly. She expressed gratitude to all attendees, highlighting the event's success.



The celebration underscored the strong ties between India and Qatar, showcasing gratitude for the welcoming environment in the host country. Coordinated by a dedicated team, including Mr. Steeson Mathew and Mr. Jency George, the event concluded with a renewed commitment to the ideals and values of the nation.
