Doha, Qatar: Qatar Tourism has announced that the Hayya platform has been awarded Silver in the Technical Innovation of the Year category for Government Technology at the 2026 Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence.
This recognition highlights its ongoing transformation into a digital platform that facilitates AI-enabled, automated, and intelligently integrated government services.
Since 2024, Hayya has evolved from a basic visitor entry platform into a comprehensive national digital ecosystem. It now supports Qatar's tourism, government services, and major international events. The platform's e-visa processing system integrates identity verification, approvals, payments, notifications, and access services into a seamless digital workflow, according to a QT press statement released today.
The platform's innovation is evident in its use of advanced technologies, such as OCR-powered document extraction, passport parsing, ICAO photo-compliance checks, and automated validation workflows. These enhancements have improved efficiency, minimized manual intervention, and boosted processing accuracy.
