Doha, Qatar:
The Embassy of India, in collaboration with the Indian Business and
Professionals Council (IBPC) Qatar, organised a business interaction with
India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep
Singh Puri, in Doha. The session served as a platform for members of the
business community to engage directly with the minister and gain insights into
India’s evolving energy sector and opportunities for bilateral collaboration.
During
the opening, IBPC Qatar President Thaha Muhammed Abdul Kareem highlighted the
growing strength of India-Qatar relations, underlining the role of business
partnerships in deepening economic ties. The interaction focused on enhancing
cooperation across energy, trade, and investment sectors, reflecting the shared
interests of both nations.
Puri expressed
appreciation for Qatar’s continued support to the Indian diaspora and noted
that his visit conveys India’s solidarity with Qatar under the current
circumstances. He also praised the contributions of Indian professionals and
entrepreneurs to Qatar’s development, while sharing insights on India’s
economic growth, policy reforms, and its commitment to building sustainable
global partnerships.
