Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of
Education and Higher Education has introduced several updates to streamline
student admission procedures, focusing on easing documentation requirements and
providing more flexibility for families.
Under the new measures,
students entering the country on visit visas are now granted a two-month period
to complete their residency procedures, which can be extended for an additional
two months if necessary.
For newly arrived students who may not meet standard age criteria, the Ministry now allows admission based on their most recent academic certificates, provided they successfully pass a school placement test. Furthermore, international students who have not yet obtained certificate attestation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are given a two-month grace period to finalize that process. Additionally, the maximum permitted age for enrollment in special needs schools has been raised to broaden access for those students.
