MoEHE launches immersive reality and assistive technology chambers to support students with disabilities

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has inaugurated an interactive learning space at Al Hidaya School for Special Needs Primary School for Boys and Girls, attended by HE Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater and ministry leaders.

The project includes an Immersive Reality Room that simulates real-life experiences using interactive digital technologies to advance students' knowledge, motor skills, and communication. It also features a fully integrated sensory room combining sensory stimulation and emotional regulation, customised to each student's needs, along with an ultraviolet illumination room to develop visual and spatial awareness.

A chamber for Assistive Technology showcases interactive carpets and sensory tents, transforming learning into an experience that combines movement, exploration, and education. Al Hidaya School Principal Latifa Saad Al Nuaimi said the project stems from the belief that all students have God-given capabilities and talents that deserve to be unearthed.
