Doha: The Ministry of Public Health has designated four health centres as Baby-Friendly under international standards, recognising their commitment to supporting breastfeeding and maternal and child health.

The designation follows an assessment process based on the WHO and UNICEF Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative, which promotes optimal breastfeeding practices and supports mothers in initiating and sustaining breastfeeding.

The recognised health centres have implemented policies and practices that protect, promote, and support breastfeeding, contributing to improved health outcomes for infants and mothers across Qatar.
