fitness, wellness and healthy living among youth in Qatar
Doha:
Youth Forum Qatar has launched its Weight Loss Challenge in collaboration with
Naseem Healthcare, as part of its health campaign, ‘Healthy Minds, Active Life,
Inspiring Youth’, aimed at encouraging healthy lifestyles and promoting
physical and mental well-being.
The
challenge began with participants undergoing physical assessments at Naseem
Healthcare Center on C-Ring Road. A follow-up assessment scheduled for November
13 will determine the winners based on their progress throughout the
initiative.
The
programme is led by Youth Forum Central Sports and Health Convener Muhammed
Shakir, along with department members Muamin Farooq, Muhammed Shad, Anas
Kozhisheri, Asjad Ali and Jishin Aboobacker.
The
broader health campaign aims to raise awareness about fitness, healthy habits
and overall well-being among young people and the wider community. It features
several activities, including a Half-Million Step Challenge, the weight loss
challenge, medical camps and health awareness sessions.
Through its collaboration with Naseem Healthcare, Youth Forum Qatar seeks to encourage community participation in health-focused activities and inspire young people to make lasting lifestyle changes.
