OCA and CANOC sign cooperation agreement to foster closer sporting ties between Asia and the Caribbean

The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Caribbean Association of National Olympic Committees (CANOC) have entered into a landmark agreement aimed at fostering closer sporting ties between Asia and the Caribbean. The agreement was signed in Barcelona, Spain, on Friday, August 7, with OCA President HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani representing the Asian governing body and CANOC President Keith Joseph representing the Caribbean NOCs. 

This new partnership focuses on the exchange of expertise in organizing sports events, developing athletes, and benefiting from shared sports knowledge. It also includes plans to organize joint scientific sports seminars and conferences, further solidifying the collaborative efforts between the two regions.
