Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has announced that social events, including weddings and funeral gatherings, may now be held in outdoor spaces, effective from Wednesday, March 25, 2026
After a ban on outdoor social events due to public safety concerns, competent authorities have now lifted the prohibitions based on continuous assessment of the situation.
"The Ministry herewith emphasizes the
necessity of adhering to approved instructions and organizational procedures,
and coordinating with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of
attendees and the conduct of these events in a safe and organized
environment," the press statement announced.
The Ministry has also stressed the importance of
complying with security and safety regulations issued by the authorities, and
urged the avoidance of any practices that may endanger individuals or the
community.
The MOI further expressed its appreciation for the general public's cooperation, affirming that this commitment reflects community awareness and contributes to enhancing public safety while protecting the security and stability of society.
