Doha: Qatar Airways and Emirates have warned passengers of delays and disruptions to flights to and from the UK following a technical issue at NATS, the country’s air traffic control provider.

Qatar Airways said flights to and from UK airports, including those transiting UK airspace, could face delays and rerouting. Passengers were advised to check the latest flight information through the airline’s website and mobile app.

Emirates also urged passengers to check their flight status regularly and monitor updates for possible delays, changes or cancellations. The disruption affected major airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Stansted.

NATS later said the technical issue had been resolved and normal operations had resumed, while efforts continued to clear the backlog of flights. The authority apologised for the disruption and advised passengers to continue checking with their airlines.
