Doha: Qatar Charity, in cooperation with the
Centre for Indian Community – Qatar (CIC), hosted a large Iftar event for
members of the Indian community as part of its Ramadan activities.
The gathering, held at Shantiniketan Indian School
in Barwa Village, brought together around 3,000 attendees, including families
and community representatives. The event reflected the spirit of unity and
togetherness that characterises the holy month of Ramadan.
Officials from Qatar Charity said the initiative
forms part of the organisation’s broader Ramadan campaign aimed at
strengthening social bonds and supporting diverse communities across the
country. The programme included religious talks highlighting the values of
fasting, charity and compassion.
Representatives from the Indian community
expressed appreciation for the continued support extended by Qatar Charity.
They noted that the organisation has played a key role in assisting families in
need through financial and in-kind contributions.
Speakers also highlighted the importance of
structured community initiatives that provide support in areas such as
education, healthcare and social welfare.
Qatar Charity continues to organise similar Iftar
gatherings for various resident communities, reinforcing a culture of
solidarity and shared responsibility during Ramadan.
