Doha: Qatar
is expanding its Government Domestic Scholarship Programme to develop a highly
skilled national workforce, offering fully funded study opportunities and
monthly stipends of up to QR10,000 for students pursuing priority academic
disciplines.
Under
the programme, students in medicine, education, and paramedic studies receive
QR10,000 monthly, while those in engineering, computer science, and health
sciences receive QR8,000. Applied sciences and arts students receive QR6,000,
and professional diploma students receive QR4,000. The programme covers
approved national and private universities within Qatar.
Applications for the 2026-2027 cycle will be accepted from November 15 to December 30, 2026. Eligibility includes ranking among the top ten graduates in general education tracks or achieving a minimum score of 95 percent. Bachelor's applicants must meet minimum secondary school requirements varying by field. Master's applicants require a GPA of 3.0, while doctoral candidates must have a "Very Good" classification.
