Qatar set to send 243 athletes to compete in Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Olympic Committee has announced that the State of Qatar will be represented by a delegation of 243 male and female athletes at the 20th Asian Games "Aichi-Nagoya 2026." The games are set to take place in Japan from September 19 to October 4. 

During a press conference, the committee detailed that the Qatari delegation will comprise 427 individuals in total, including 184 male athletes and 59 female athletes, along with 142 technical and administrative staff members, 23 from the administrative delegation, and 16 from the media team.

Qatar aims to participate in 26 sports across 32 disciplines through 18 sports federations. The sports lineup for Qatar includes athletics, football, basketball, 3x3 basketball, handball, volleyball, beach volleyball, squash, padel, taekwondo, judo, artistic gymnastics, golf, shooting, swimming, jujitsu, esports, sailing, equestrian, karate, fencing, archery, wrestling, boxing, weightlifting, and table tennis.
