Sheikha Asma bint Thani Al Thani, a renowned Qatari mountaineer, has successfully reached the summits of 11 of the world's 14 mountains over 8,000 meters, marking another milestone in her quest to conquer the planet's highest peaks.
Her latest triumph was the summit of Gasherbrum II, located in the Karakoram range along the Pakistan-China border. These formidable peaks are located in the "Death Zone," where oxygen levels plummet, creating perilous conditions for climbers.
