At least 67 people have died during a recent surge in migrant crossings from Morocco to Spain's North African enclave, Ceuta, according to Spain's Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska.
The minister reported on Saturday that most of the migrants had returned to Morocco by the weekend after tens of thousands crossed the border, primarily by swimming around the small frontier post extending into the Mediterranean Sea.
