There is real chance for reaching peace deal in Gaza, affirms US President Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that there is a real chance to achieve a peace agreement in Gaza, as indirect talks between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) are currently taking place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. Speaking to reporters at the Oval Office alongside Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump stated, “We are very close to making a deal on the Middle East that will bring peace to the Middle East.”

The US is actively involved in these discussions, with the White House announcing that Trump's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are participating in the talks. Trump noted, “There is a real chance we can do something. I think there's a possibility of bringing peace to the Middle East. It's something even beyond the Gaza situation.”

He emphasized the international support for the plan, mentioning, “Our team is there now, another team just left, and other countries, literally every country in the world, has supported this plan.” Trump assured that the US would do everything possible to ensure compliance with the agreement if Hamas and Israel agree to a ceasefire to end the conflict.
