Sauhruda Vedi (TJSV Qatar) has officially commenced its year-long Silver
Jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years of dedicated service to the Indian
community in Qatar. As part of the celebrations, the organization held a press
conference on Wednesday, June 24, at Signature Mirza Restaurant, ahead of its
much-awaited Silver Jubilee Logo and Tagline Launching Ceremony, scheduled to
take place at 5:00 pm on Friday, June 26, at the Bhavans School Theatre.
The press conference
was led by President Vishnu Jayaram Dev and attended by General Secretary
Sharaf Mohammad, Treasurer Thomas Ousef, Former President Abdul Gafoor, Silver
Jubilee Program Coordinators Abdul Jabbar and Srinivasan, and General
Coordinator Muhammad Musthafa. The gathering also witnessed the participation
of Indian media representatives in Qatar, members of the Forum's Central
Committee, Advisory Board, Women's Coalition executives, and Sector
Coordinators.
Addressing the media,
President Vishnu Jayaram Dev highlighted the remarkable 25-year journey of TJSV
Qatar, recalling its growth into one of the leading Indian community
organizations in the country. He also spoke about the forum's wide-ranging
social, cultural, and charitable initiatives, which earned it recognition from
the Embassy of India in Qatar as the Best Organization.
Silver Jubilee
Program Coordinator Abdul Jabbar presented an overview of the year-long
celebrations planned to commemorate the milestone. The Silver Jubilee calendar
will feature a variety of cultural, social, educational, and community service
initiatives aimed at bringing together members of the Indian diaspora while
celebrating the rich heritage of Thrissur.
The press conference was moderated by Secretary R. K. Rafi, while General Secretary Sharaf Mohammad delivered the welcome address. First Vice President Srinivasan proposed the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the media, members, and supporters for their continued encouragement as TJSV Qatar embarks on its landmark Silver Jubilee celebrations.
