India:
Two pilots lost their lives on Monday after their chartered aircraft struck a
hill and crashed in Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur district. The accident occurred near
Ara Hill within the Narayanpur police station limits.
Initial
reports indicate the aircraft was flying at an extremely low altitude of approximately
30 feet when it clipped a tree and went down. Footage from the area captured
the small, single-engine propeller plane flying just above the treetops moments
before the impact.
Emergency rescue teams have been deployed to the site to assess the damage and recover the scene. While officials have shared these preliminary details, they noted that a formal confirmation of the crash specifics is still pending as they wait for a full report from the site.
