Attack on Iran's Gulf coast nuclear facilities would leave countries across the region without water, warns PM

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has warned of the potential repercussions of an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities located along the Gulf coast. He emphasized that such an incident could jeopardize the water supply for countries throughout the region.

In a recent interview with prominent media figure Tucker Carlson, the Prime Minister said Doha had stimulated the effect an attack. He highlighted that the seawater would become "entirely contaminated," and Qatar could face a water shortage within three days. While the construction of additional reservoirs has enhanced water capacity, he underscored that the threat persists for all nations in the vicinity.

HE Sheikh Mohammed remarked, "No water, no fish, nothing... no life," articulating the critical importance of water security in the region. This interview coincided with the US President Trump's announcement that he had extended an invitation to Iran for nuclear talks.
