Doha, Qatar: Doha has been ranked the world’s fastest city for mobile internet performance among major tourist destinations in 2026, according to a study by mobile data specialists Holafly. The Qatari capital recorded an average mobile download speed of 354.5 Mbps, allowing users to download a 1GB city map in under three seconds.

The study measured real-world usability by calculating how quickly travelers could download essential data using local mobile networks. Doha outperformed global and regional cities, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, setting a new benchmark for digital connectivity.

The ranking reflects Qatar’s sustained investment in advanced mobile infrastructure, particularly widespread 5G deployment. For tourists and business travelers, the ultra-fast connectivity enables seamless navigation, instant access to services, and uninterrupted digital communication, further strengthening Doha’s position as a leading, future-ready global destination.
