Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) announced that the State of Qatar handled 54.3 million passengers in 2025, marking a 3% increase compared with 2024. August emerged as the busiest month with five million passengers, while December 20 was the peak travel day of the year, recording 172,500 passengers.
The
rise in passenger traffic reflects Qatar’s continued efforts to attract
visitors through major international events across business, sports and
culture. High-profile gatherings such as Web Summit Qatar, the Doha Forum, and
several FIFA tournaments, along with the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Grand Prix,
significantly boosted travel demand.
QCAA noted
that ongoing infrastructure development, an expanding transport network and
Qatar’s reputation as a safe and attractive destination continue to support
growth. Strong connectivity through Hamad International Airport and Qatar
Airways, along with a vibrant hospitality and events calendar, has reinforced
Qatar’s position as a global transit and tourism hub.
