Doha: In its continued commitment to the welfare and education of the Indian expatriate community in Qatar, the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) organized a special awareness program titled “Digital Detox - A Journey to Mindfulness” at the Kanjani Hall of the ICBF office. The event drew an active audience comprising representatives from various affiliated organizations (AOs) and community members.

The
keynote session was led by Dr. Sreya Chattopadyay, a leading AI trainer and digital
transformation expert from New Delhi. A Ph.D. holder in e-Healthcare, Dr. Sreya
has been recognized with the National Women Excellence Award by Elite Club
International and DK Event London. She currently serves as Director of BizInnovision,
Director of Financial Fabric,
Type A Partner at Microsoft,
and Director of the Advance
Healthcare Foundation NGO.
In
her engaging presentation, Dr. Sreya highlighted the growing dependency on
digital devices and social media, explaining the psychological and social
impacts of excessive screen time. She offered practical strategies for
achieving a healthy balance between technology use and mindfulness, supported
by real-life examples and personal experiences.
Dr. Eish Singhal, First
Secretary (Labour & Community Welfare, Visa and OCI) at the Embassy of
India and Coordinating Officer of ICBF, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He
commended ICBF for its consistent efforts in conducting educational and welfare
programs that address contemporary challenges faced by the Indian community.
The event commenced with a welcome address by Deepak Shetty,
General Secretary of ICBF, followed by a presidential address by Shanavas Bava, President of ICBF.
K.S. Prasad,
Chairman of the Advisory Council, and K.V. Boban, Program Committee Chairman, along with
several community leaders, also attended the session. Vice President Rasheed Ahamed
introduced the guest speaker, while Secretary Jafar Thayyil delivered the vote of thanks.
As a token of appreciation, President Shanavas Bava
presented a memento to Dr. Sreya in the presence of dignitaries. The event was

The Digital
Detox program served as a timely reminder of the importance of
