Doha: MES Indian School emerged as the overall champion for the third consecutive time at the prestigious Qatar Kalanjali Arts Festival 2025, reaffirming its dominance in the inter-school cultural arena. The school clinched the title with an impressive total of 1,610 points, followed by Rajagiri Public School with 912 points and Ideal Indian School securing third place with 520 points.

The
grand arts festival, organized under the auspices of Media Pen, brought together
more than 4,000 students
from 21 Indian schools
across Qatar, competing across multiple art, music, dance, and literary
categories. Judges invited from India lauded the exceptional talent displayed
by the students and commended the festival’s high organizational standards and
cultural vibrancy.
This
year’s Kalanjali
Kalathilakam titles were awarded to:

The closing ceremony, held at Ideal Indian School, Doha,
was graced by H.E.
Vipul, Ambassador of India to Qatar, who praised the
initiative, noting that the Embassy would continue to support the festival in
the years ahead. He commended the platform for nurturing young artistic talent
among the Indian expatriate community.
The event also saw the presence of renowned figures
from Kerala’s art and cultural circles, including celebrated poet and lyricist Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma,
acclaimed playback singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi, Palakkad Sreeraman, singer Avami, and
playwright Binoy Nambala.
True to its inclusive spirit, the Kalanjali
stage welcomed performances by differently-abled children and teams of school
teachers, earning heartfelt appreciation from the audience.
The festival was spread across four vibrant venues
— Mayuri for dance,
Amruthavarshani
for music, Sahitya Hall for
literary competitions, and Rangoli Hall for painting contests. The judging panel,
comprising experts from various states of India, finalized the results after
several days of spirited competition.
Prizes, shields, and certificates were presented
to the winners by Ambassador Vipul, alongside distinguished guests including Kalanjali Chairman Hassan Kunji,
Radio Malayalam CEO Anwar Hussain,
Apex Body Chairpersons A.P.
Manikandan and Shanavas Bava, film producer Chandramohan Pillai,
Kalanjali General Convener
Binukumar, MES Indian School Principal Hameeda Kader, and Ideal Indian School Principal
Hameem Shaikh.
The Kalanjali Arts Festival once again proved to be a grand celebration of Indian culture, creativity, and community spirit in Qatar - a platform where young talents continue to shine and make their schools proud.
