M.E.S. Indian School marked the 77th Republic Day of India on 26 January 2026 with great enthusiasm, dignity, and patriotic fervour. The celebration was held in the august presence of the Directors and members of the school management, adding significance to the national occasion.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, Mr. Kashif Jaleel, President (Officiating), M.E.S. Governing Board. The flag hoisting instilled a deep sense of pride and patriotism among the gathering. This was followed by a soul-stirring patriotic song presented by the school choir, which resonated strongly with the spirit of the day and evoked national pride.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S. Indian School, delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking speech. She emphasized the importance of discipline, civic responsibility, and ethical values in building a progressive and harmonious society. Highlighting the enduring relevance of the Indian Constitution, she urged students to uphold the fundamental principles of democracy, unity, and integrity, which form the backbone of the nation.

The celebrations were further enriched by a vibrant cultural programme,
featuring impeccably choreographed patriotic dance performances by students
from the Junior, Girls’, and Boys’
Sections, as well as the evening session. The expressive performances,
complemented by traditional costumes and colourful props, captivated the
audience and beautifully reflected the essence of patriotism and national
unity.
Adding to the significance of the event, Master Mukesh Adhityan
delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the ideals of national unity and social
responsibility. He stressed the crucial role of the youth in
shaping the future of the nation and contributing meaningfully to
nation-building.
The celebration served as a powerful reminder of
the duties and responsibilities of
every citizen in safeguarding the sovereignty, unity, and
harmony of the nation. The event witnessed the active participation of
distinguished guests, school officials, faculty members, parents, and students.
The
proceedings were gracefully compered by Ms. Fiona D’Cruz and Mr. Davidson, members of the
teaching faculty, whose professionalism added to the elegance of the programme.
The event was meticulously planned and coordinated by Mr. Anwar and Ms. Sumitha Nassar, Cultural
Coordinators, along with a committed team of teachers, ensuring
the programme’s seamless execution and resounding success.
