Doha, Qatar: Mowasalat’s Robotaxi service is now available in West Bay, Central Doha, and Hamad International Airport (HIA), offering a safe and easy way to experience autonomous taxi rides. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Booking the Ride

·       Open the Karwa app and select the Taxi category.

·       Choose card or wallet payment (Robotaxi option is only available with these).

·       If a Robotaxi is available, select “Yes” to confirm your ride.

Step 2: Boarding the Robotaxi

·       When the Robotaxi arrives, unlock the doors and enter.

·       Lock the doors and fasten your seatbelt before the ride starts.

·       Read the safety instructions displayed in the cabin.

Step 3: Starting the Ride

·       Enter the OTP on the tablet and tap “Start Ride”.

·       The ride will begin automatically; remain seated with your seatbelt fastened.

Step 4: During the Ride

·       Maximum 2 passengers in the rear seats; front seat and trunk are off-limits.

·       Avoid touching controls or steering wheel.

·       Dangerous or prohibited items are not allowed.

·       To stop early, use the “Pull Over” option on the tablet.

·       Remote assistance is available via a call button if needed.

Step 5: Ending the Ride

·       Only unfasten seatbelts once the vehicle stops completely.

·       Doors unlock automatically when it is safe to exit.

·       Check belongings before leaving the Robotaxi.

Robotaxis operate daily from 6am to 4am, follow traffic rules with a maximum speed of 80 km/h, and are priced the same as regular taxis. Mowasalat is gradually expanding coverage to more Points of Interest across Doha.
