Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has confirmed that the Qatari market is free from the first-stage infant formula product Aptamil 1 (800g), batch number 31-10-2026, with a best-before date of October 31, 2026.

The clarification follows a product recall in the United Kingdom due to suspected contamination with Cereulide toxin produced by Bacillus cereus. MoPH stated that the batch mentioned in the notification has not been imported into the State of Qatar.

The ministry reaffirmed that its Food Safety Department continuously monitors food safety alerts and inspects all imported food consignments to ensure public health protection. For further enquiries, the public may contact the hotline at 16000.
