M.E.S teachers engage in leadership development session

Doha: An interactive orientation session titled ‘Leader Plus’ was conducted on March 5, 2025, at the M.E.S. Indian School’s Conference Hall. Led by Mr. Adil C T, Founder and CEO of Academics, Habitat Schools, UAE, and Executive Secretary of Dayapuram Education and Cultural Centre, Kerala, the session focused on leadership enhancement and emotional intelligence.


The event commenced with a prayer by Ms. Fathima Afrah and a welcome song by students, creating a reflective atmosphere. The school’s Principal, Dr. Hameeda Kadar, highlighted the importance of leadership in both personal and professional life, expressing gratitude to Mr. Adil for his contributions to education and leadership development. Mr. Akbar Ali, Telecom Manager at Qatar Energy, was the distinguished guest at the event.


Mr. Adil C T delivered an insightful presentation on leadership qualities and emotional intelligence, emphasizing self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and social skills as key components of effective leadership. He encouraged teachers to not only impart knowledge but also inspire transformation, advocating for teaching approaches that foster creativity, critical thinking, and innovation. His session provided valuable perspectives on how leadership traits can be cultivated to drive positive change within educational environments.


Adding to the discussion, Mr. Akbar Ali shared his experiences from the corporate sector, shedding light on the practical applications of leadership in various professional settings. The session encouraged meaningful discussions, allowing teachers to reflect on how leadership principles could be integrated into their daily practices. Attendees gained actionable insights into fostering a leadership mindset that benefits both educators and students.

The event concluded on a high note with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Rizwa Fathima from the Department of English. Mrs. Fiona Mary D’Cruz extended a warm welcome to the gathering at the beginning of the session. The leadership workshop was well-received by participants, equipping them with new perspectives and strategies to enhance their roles as educators and mentors.
