Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education will host its annual Back to School event for the 2025-2026 academic year on August 25 and 26 at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The event will bring together ministry leaders, teachers, students, parents, and the public as part of efforts to ensure a smooth and stimulating start to the school year.
Maryam
Abdullah Al Mohannadi, Director of Public Relations and Communication at the
Ministry, said this year’s edition focuses on the concept of well-being
in education, one of Qatar’s strategic goals. The event will emphasize
creating a safe, balanced, and supportive environment addressing students’
psychological, physical, and social needs, alongside preparing teachers through
training programs and workshops.
The
event will feature ten workshops, lectures on psychological balance and quality
of life, an exhibition of teachers’ projects, and interactive activities for
children, including puppet shows, the “Science Hour,” and “Fun Hour.” Families
will also have access to school supplies, professional development sessions,
and recreational activities under one roof.
This year’s program will see active participation from community partners such as Alif and Al Rawnaq bookstores, Ooredoo, KidZania, and Mowasalat (Karwa). Al Mohannadi stressed that Back to School is not just an opening event, but a national message highlighting student well-being, teacher recognition, family involvement, and community partnerships in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
