Paris: US President Donald Trump has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Iran to end more than 100 days of war, setting the stage for detailed negotiations on the Iranian nuclear programme and sanctions relief.

Speaking in France alongside President Emmanuel Macron, Trump said "the deal's all signed," adding that the Strait of Hormuz has been partially cleared and is set to reopen completely by Friday when the agreement is signed in Switzerland. Iran has confirmed that the deal ends fighting on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
