Riyadh: The unified tourist visa for the
Gulf Cooperation Council will be launched soon, GCC Secretary General Jasem
Albudaiwi has announced.
Speaking at the 'Security and History
Dialogue 2026' conference in Riyadh, Albudaiwi said the visa "will
represent an important step towards strengthening Gulf integration and
facilitate movement of visitors among GCC countries." The Schengen-style
visa, dubbed the 'GCC Grand Tours' visa, will enable easier travel among the
six Gulf countries - Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait.
Details regarding the launch date, fees, validity, and eligibility criteria have yet to be announced.
