Doha: The Indian Business &
Professionals Council (IBPC) Qatar hosted a special farewell gathering in
honour of Mr. Sandeep Kumar, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India,
Doha, and Coordinating Officer of IBPC Qatar, expressing sincere appreciation
for his guidance, steadfast support, and valuable engagement with IBPC and the
wider Indian community.
Held at ICC Ashoka Hall, the gathering
brought together Presidents and representatives of Indian Apex Bodies,
community leaders, business and professional representatives, IBPC Associated
Organisations, and members of the wider Indian community to bid farewell and
convey their best wishes. The evening also marked the return of IBPC Qatar's
Monday Bites following the summer break, with the 57th edition exploring the
theme "Beyond Networks – The Power of Genuine Relationships."
Welcoming the gathering, IBPC President Mr.
Thaha Muhammed Abdul Kareem expressed appreciation for Mr. Kumar's guidance and
support throughout his tenure, recalling their close collaboration across
numerous initiatives including the Indian Mango Festival and IBPC Annual
Connect. IBPC Chairman Mr. J.K. Menon expressed gratitude for Mr. Kumar's
unwavering support, highlighting his valuable contribution and approachable
nature.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sandeep Kumar
thanked IBPC Qatar and community members for the warm farewell. As a mark of
appreciation, he was felicitated by the IBPC Executive Committee and Board of
Governors, with Presidents and representatives of other Indian Apex Bodies - ICC, ISC, and ICBF - also honouring him. The evening concluded on a sentiment
capturing both the spirit of Monday Bites and the farewell: official
assignments conclude and responsibilities change, but trust, goodwill, and
genuine relationships endure.
