Doha: Qatar Tec, a leading project supplies company in Qatar, marked the traditional Kerala festival of Onam with vibrant celebrations, fostering unity and festivity among its employees. The event was filled with traditional and fun competitions, featuring enthusiastic participation from team members across various departments. Managing Director Jebi K. John joined the celebrations, adding warmth and camaraderie to the occasion.
A highlight of the celebration was the stunning Onappookkalam, a traditional floral decoration that enhanced the festive atmosphere and showcased the cultural richness of Onam. The event was expertly coordinated by Basil Joseph, Saji M. Kuriakose, and Sreeregha Menon, ensuring smooth conduct of activities.
A delegation of senior officials from Qatar Tec also attended the event, reflecting the company's emphasis on employee engagement, social responsibility and inclusive community development. The delegation included Binu Kuriakose, Operation Manager Jinoj Mathew Thomas, Project Account Manager; Laiju Varghese, Admin & Procurement Manager; John Mathew, Manager – Human Resources; Thomas Mathew, Manager – Accounts; Sreeregha Parayilvalappil.
The day featured a series of lively competitions that energized participants. Jibin Mathew took first place in the Race with Glass on Head, while Laiju Varghese secured second. In the Blow the Balloon and Collect the Glass Game, Jibin Mathew won again, with Rahul as runner-up. Nifras clinched first place in the Happy Filled Glass Game, followed by Reeja Raju. The Hide and Seek competition also drew great participation, with Binu Kuriakose, Laiju Varghese, Jabir, Fenny Jose and Rahul among the winners.
The celebrations created a joyful and relaxing atmosphere, allowing employees to interact and strengthen team spirit beyond their regular duties.
