KEFAQ and FINQ join hands to empower community with life-saving CPR training in Doha

Doha: KEFAQ, the association of Kottarakkara natives in Qatar, in collaboration with FINQ (Federation of Indian Nurses Qatar), successfully organized a CPR Awareness and Training Program for its members at the ICC, Doha. The initiative aimed to equip participants with essential emergency response skills and increase awareness about the importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in saving lives during critical situations.

The program was presided over by KEFAQ President Mr. Binesh Babu, while Secretary Mr. Jobin Panicker delivered the welcome address. The event was officially inaugurated by Dr. Jobin Benjamin, Head of the Internal Medicine Department at Aster Hospital, who applauded the participants for dedicating their time to learning vital life-saving techniques. He emphasized the significance of CPR knowledge in emergency situations and encouraged community members to remain prepared to act when needed. Mr. Biju K. Philip, Chairman of the KEFAQ Advisory Board, extended his felicitations and appreciated the organizers for conducting such a meaningful and socially relevant program.

The CPR awareness session and hands-on practical training were led by the expert team from FINQ, the organization of Indian nurses in Qatar. Through interactive demonstrations and practical exercises, participants gained valuable knowledge and confidence in performing CPR effectively. The program was coordinated by conveners Mr. Charles K. Chacko and Mr. Juno Vineeth, with the active support of Vice Presidents Mr. Cibi Mathew and Mr. Biju P. John; Trustees Mr. Benny Baby and Mr. Aneesh Thomas; Joint Secretaries Ms. Tincy Joby, Mr. Jalu Ambadi, and Mr. Shaji Karikkam, along with other Managing Committee members who worked collectively to ensure the smooth conduct of the event.

The expert guidance provided by the FINQ team, coupled with the enthusiastic participation of KEFAQ members, contributed greatly to the success of the training program. The event highlighted the importance of community-driven health awareness initiatives and reinforced the value of acquiring practical emergency response skills. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Trustee Mr. Benny Baby, who expressed gratitude to the trainers, dignitaries, organizers, and participants for making the event a memorable and impactful learning experience.
