Doha: M.E.S. Indian School, Doha, celebrated Teachers’ Day with a vibrant and memorable programme, recognising the profound role of teachers in shaping the character of students, inspiring their aspirations and nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. The celebration paid tribute to the dedication, commitment and invaluable contributions of the school’s teaching fraternity.

The programme highlighted the significant influence teachers have in the academic and personal development of students. Through their guidance, encouragement and continuous support, teachers play a vital role in shaping young minds and preparing students to face future challenges with confidence, responsibility and integrity.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Hameeda Kadar, Principal of M.E.S. Indian School, emphasised the profound and enduring influence teachers have on the lives of their students. She urged members of the teaching fraternity to remain humble while discharging their responsibilities and to uphold the policies and values of the institution.

Dr Hameeda Kadar also encouraged teachers to carry out their duties with compassion, commitment and integrity. She stressed the importance of maintaining a harmonious balance between empathy and wisdom while dealing with students and fulfilling the responsibilities entrusted to them as educators.

Mr Shihabudeen Pulath, Senior Vice Principal, along with school officials representing all sections, conveyed their warm greetings and best wishes to the teachers. They expressed their appreciation for the dedicated service and consistent efforts of the teaching fraternity in contributing to the growth and development of the institution and its students.

An interactive session highlighting the significance and nobility of the teaching profession added an engaging dimension to the celebration. The session provided teachers with an opportunity to reflect on the responsibilities, challenges and rewards associated with the profession, while encouraging active participation and meaningful interaction.

A specially curated video presentation featuring cherished memories, experiences and the valuable contributions of teachers who have completed between one and 35 years of dedicated service at M.E.S. Indian School was also presented. The nostalgic presentation offered a glimpse into the teachers’ long-standing association with the institution and their journey of commitment and service.

The occasion also witnessed the recognition of teachers from all sections who achieved 100 per cent attendance during the academic year 2025–26. Their exemplary attendance was acknowledged as a reflection of their punctuality, dedication and commitment to their professional responsibilities.

As a mark of appreciation and gratitude, all school officials and teachers were presented with Teachers’ Day gifts in recognition of their dedicated service, steadfast commitment and valuable contributions to the institution. Earlier, Mr Sameer Pandey, attired as Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, extended Teachers’ Day greetings to the teaching fraternity.

The celebration concluded on a lively note with a vibrant cultural programme, giving teachers an opportunity to showcase their talents and enjoy the occasion together. Ms Safwa Konnola delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The programme was meticulously coordinated by Mr Anver K, Ms Sumitha Abdunassar, Ms Fency Pathrose and the Heads of Sections, whose dedicated efforts contributed significantly to the smooth and effective execution of the celebration.
