Doha: Nammude
Adukkalathottam Doha has announced the winners of the NAD Young Farmer Contest
– Season 5 (2025 Edition), an initiative aimed at cultivating an interest in
agriculture among children and promoting awareness of sustainable farming
practices.
Conducted for students of various
Indian schools across Qatar, the contest encourages children to grow and
maintain their own gardens, helping them understand the importance of food
security, environmental conservation, and sustainable living. The competition develops
qualities such as responsibility, patience, creativity, and a love for nature
while inspiring young aspiring farmers.
This year's contest saw enthusiastic
participation from students across Indian schools in Qatar. Winners were
selected based on farming practices, garden maintenance, dedication,
creativity, and overall performance.
The winners of the NAD Young Farmer Contest – Season 5 were
Aamil Mohammed and Jianna Theres Jitto from MES Indian School, who jointly
secured the first prize. The second prize was awarded to T. Laksmi Dakshayani
and Usthad Kaur from Rajagiri Public School. Noel Abhilash Simon from Birla
Public School received the third prize, while the consolation prizes went to
Arjun Biju Pillai from Birla Public School and Parvathi Vipin from DPS Modern
Indian School.
NAD extended its congratulations to all winners and participants and expressed gratitude to parents, teachers, and well-wishers for their encouragement and support. The organization reaffirmed its commitment to continue inspiring the younger generation towards sustainable living through future initiatives.
