In honor of Father Amir's legacy, India observed a national mourning day on July 13, 2026, with flags flown at half-mast.
The Indian community in Qatar united in grief, organised a condolence meeting on July 15, reflecting on Father Amir's enduring support and friendship. His leadership and kindness towards the Indian expatriate community will be fondly remembered.
