MoEHE unveils flexible assessment plan for second semester mid-term exams

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has introduced alternative assessment procedures for second semester mid-term exams for students in grades 1 through 11, citing ongoing monitoring of the current situation.

For students in grades 1 and 2, continuous assessment scores will replace the mid-term exams using approved evaluation tools. For grades 3 to 11, students will complete one electronic assessment per subject worth 30 marks, with oral or practical assessment marks included in the total.

Government schools will administer tests through the Qatar Education System from April 14 to 16, 2026, while private schools following national standards will use their approved online platforms. Students must complete all assessments by April 21.

Teachers will correct the assessments and record grades in the National Student Information System. The Ministry stressed that schools must inform students and parents of the procedures to ensure clarity and stability in the educational process.
